Cooking Therapist
The Challenge

The existing Cooking Therapist platform had fallen behind user expectations in both design and functionality. An outdated visual language, inconsistent navigation patterns, and a lack of content hierarchy made it difficult for users to discover recipes or stay engaged beyond their initial visit. The platform failed to reflect the warmth and creativity of the brand, leaving a significant gap between the content quality and the experience of accessing it.

Compounding the design issues was the complete absence of a content management system for site owners. Every recipe update, addition, or removal required direct developer involvement—creating bottlenecks, slowing down content publishing, and making it impossible for non-technical team members to keep the platform fresh. Our redesign needed to solve both problems simultaneously: elevate the user-facing experience while giving the team behind it genuine operational independence.

Our Approach
We designed the experience around clarity, elegance, and high performance.
Phase 1:
Planned User Experience
Designed detailed wireframes in Adobe XD to map out intuitive navigation flows, clear content hierarchy, and a visual structure that makes recipe discovery effortless—validated through stakeholder review before any development began
Phase 2:
Modern UI Implementation
Developed a fully responsive, visually rich recipe browsing experience that reflects the character of the brand—featuring clean typography, warm imagery handling, and a layout system that works beautifully across all screens
Phase 3:
Admin Panel for Recipes
Built a purpose-designed admin interface that empowers site owners to manage recipes entirely without developer support
Phase 4:
Optimized Performance & Insights
Implemented AWS S3 for reliable, scalable media asset storage and delivery, and integrated Google Analytics to provide the team with actionable insights
